Thomas Bouckaert founded Bouckaert Industrial Textiles (BIT) in 1988. They originally manufactured disaster relief blankets. Shortly after, the company branched out into manufacturing technical needle punch felt, both wool and synthetic, for the nonwoven fabric industry.
BIT is the leading US manufacturer of industrial felt products located on the East Coast. They can produce low, medium, and very high-density felt with many different finishes. This is thanks to an inventory of over 6 million lbs. of raw material, a full range of needle punch, airlay, and finishing capabilities, and their experienced team.
